The Transgenic Core Facility of the University of Copenhagen was established 2006 in order to provide researchers at all levels support to generate and analyse genetically modified mice. Furthermore, it develops and establishes new techniques to facilitate the making of new mouse mutants. The facility offers various transgenic services, and consultancy and courses on all mouse related issues. Aim is to create a network of expert groups collaborating in the analysis of newly generated mutant mice. The Transgenic Core Facility is directed by Prof. Dr. Cord Brakebusch, who also runs a research lab at the University-associated Biotech and Research Innovation Centre (BRIC).
