Biocenter Oulu (BCO) is a bioinstitute of the University of Oulu and member of the Biocenter Finland. The transgenic core facility of BCO is a national service facility for production of gene modified mice and coordinator of the Model Organism network of Biocenter Finland, one of the aims of this network being development of services in mouse phenotyping. Prof. Taina Pihlajaniemi is scientific director of BCO and director of Biocenter Finland.
