Information from provider

ProviderDiane MATHIS
Provider affiliationLGME Universite
Phenotypic informationMutant mice deficient in histocompatibility 2, class II antigen A, beta 1 (MHC class II A beta, H2-Ab1) gene. H2-Ab1 gene mutation obtained by homologous recombination (insertion of neomycin-resistance gene cassette into the second exon) in ES cells from 129S2/SvPas, yet deficient in the MHC complex. The animals show a complete lack of class II molecules and an almost total absence of CD4+ lymphocytes. Immune responses are much altered or lacking.
Breeding history129S2/SvPas ES cells; 9 generations of backcross with C57BL/6, then intercross.
