Information from provider

ProviderKlaus Willecke
Provider affiliationMolecular genetics, LIMES Institute, University of Bonn
Genetic informationA stop codon was inserted in the coding region of exon 7 followed by an IRES-LacZ reporter cassette. A FRT-flanked neo cassette was inserted upstream of exon 8. Flp-mediated recombination removed the neo cassette. LacZ expression is detected by staining with X-Gal.
Phenotypic informationBehavioral impairment, altered sphingolipid metabolism.
Breeding historyBackcrossed to 87.5% C57BL/6. There occur no problems with homozygous breedings.
