Information from provider

ProviderNicolas Glaichenhaus
Provider affiliationINSERM U561 - Hopital Saint Vincent de Paul, Paris
Genetic informationMice were made transgenic for a T-cell receptor directed to an antigen (Leishmania activated c kinase: LACK) from the Leishmania parasite.
Phenotypic informationThese mice provide a good model to study leishmaniasis since the frequency of CD4+ T cells recognizing an antigen (LACK) from the Leishmania parasite is increased up to 1%. With this frequency, it is possible to follow the immune response to the parasite in both resistant (B10D2) and susceptible (BALB/c) strains.
Breeding historyThe mice were backcrossed for 10 generations to the susceptible BALB/c and to the resistant B10D2 background.

Availabilities

Requesting frozen sperm or embryos is generally advisable wherever possible, in order to minimise the shipment of live mice.

Due to the dynamic nature of our processes strain availability may change at short notice. The local repository manager will advise you in these circumstances.

* In addition users have to cover all the shipping costs (including the cost for returning dry-shippers, where applicable).
