Information from provider

Provider affiliationCancer Research UK Cambridge Institute, University of Cambridge
Genetic informationAn AhCre transgene vector, containing the cre coding sequence under the rat CYP1A1 promoter, was injected into fertilized CBAxC57BL/6 oocytes. Founder mice were backcrossed onto C57BL/6 mice to establish transgenic lines. Heterozygous transgenic lines were interbred to establish homozygous AhCre mice.
Phenotypic informationHomozygous:
None breeds to homozygosity

Heterozygous:
No phenotype
Breeding historyThe line was cryopreserved many years ago. It was created around 2002/3 by pronuclear injection of B6-CBA embryos and maintained as pairs of trios mainly comprised of transgenic males crossed to wildtype females. Initial wildtype breeders were B6. But the line is not congenic to B6.
