Genetic informationThe line was obtained by microinjection of a plasmid transgene containing 8.1 kb of the mouse Ins1 promoter region followed by a rabbit-b-globin intron-CreERT2 cassette and a SV40 polyA sequence. The genetic background of the fertilized oocytes was C57BL/6J x SJL/J. The founder was then maintained in a C57BL/6J genetic background. The subline 16.7 was analyzed and cryopreserved. Four copies of transgene are inserted on mouse Chr12.
