Information from provider

ProviderUrsula Günthert
Provider affiliationInstitut für Pathologie, University of Basel
Genetic informationA loxP site was inserted 3' of exon v6 and a neomycin resistance cassette, with a 5' loxP site, was inserted 5' of exon v6 of the Cd44 gene. During insertion, 1.6 kb of sequence was lost in the exon v7 region leading to deficient expression of this variant in homozygous mutant mice (Cd44v7 -/-).
Phenotypic informationCd44v7-/-: Strongly reduced symptoms in autoimmune diseases.
Breeding historyThe DBA/1 Cd44v7-/- strain was backcrossed for 10 generations onto the DBA/1 background and is kept as DBA/1 CD44v7-/-.

Order

Availabilities

Requesting frozen sperm or embryos is generally advisable wherever possible, in order to minimise the shipment of live mice.

Due to the dynamic nature of our processes strain availability may change at short notice. The local repository manager will advise you in these circumstances.

* In addition users have to cover all the shipping costs (including the cost for returning dry-shippers, where applicable).
