Provider affiliationCNRS - Université de la Méditerranée
Genetic informationThe DiCre strain is a conditional deleter strain that is inducible by dimerization. It corresponds to two inactive moieties of Cre recombinase, Cre 19-59 and Cre 60-343, fused to FKBP12 and the ligand binding domain (FRB) of FRAP, respectively. The moieties have no recombinase activity, even when co-expressed in a cell. However, they can be dimerized by rapamycin, restoring recombinase activity. The construct which has been knocked into the ROSA 26 locus consists of: FRB-Cre(60-343)_CAG promoter_FKBP12-Cre(19-59).
Phenotypic informationNone observed.
Breeding historyF1 animals were backcrossed with C57BL/6 animals for two generations, and inbred thereafter to obtain homozygous animals. They are presently inbred.

Availabilities

Requesting frozen sperm or embryos is generally advisable wherever possible, in order to minimise the shipment of live mice.

  • Frozen embryos. Delivered in 4 weeks (after paperwork in place). €1740*
  • Rederivation of mice from frozen stock, delivery time available upon request . €3880*

Due to the dynamic nature of our processes strain availability may change at short notice. The local repository manager will advise you in these circumstances.

* In addition users have to cover all the shipping costs (including the cost for returning dry-shippers, where applicable).
