Information from provider

ProviderPatrik Ernfors
Provider affiliationDepartment for Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics, Karolinska Institutet, MBB
Genetic informationExon 5 of the Bdnf gene was disrupted by an in-frame fusion of the Ntf3 (NT3) protein coding sequence and a floxed neo cassette.
Phenotypic informationHomozygous mice die around postnatal day 27. They have defective coordination of balance and movement and lack nerve innervation of the inner ear caused by a loss of neurons in several sensory ganglia.
