Information from provider

ProviderAndras Nagy
Provider affiliationMount Sinai Hospital, Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute
Additional ownerAndras Nagy/Marina Gertsenstein are also distributing this line from CMMR, at TCP in Toronto.
Genetic informationGeneral deleter Cre line. Transgene expressing Cre recombinase under the control of human CMV promoter. The transgenic line (TgN(CMV-Cre)1AN) was created by pronuclear injection of the Cre-containing HindIII fragment of the pBS185 plasmid (Sauer B, Henderson N: Targeted insertion of exogenous DNA into the eukaryotic genome by the Cre recombinase. New Biologist 1990, 2:441-449).
Phenotypic informationAlbino phenotype.
Breeding historyInitially established by Andras Nagy's laboratory using ICR mouse background, transferred to CNB-CSIC in late '90s. Since then it was backcrossed to albino outbred NMRI (>10 generations) and bred to homozygosity. Currently existing as NMRI homozygous, viable and fertile.
