Information from provider

ProviderJeffrey Milbrandt
Provider affiliationWashington University School of Medicine
Genetic informationDisruption caused by insertion of vector. Exon 2 was disrupted by the insertion of a neomycin resistance gene. Northern blot analysis of total thymic RNA showed an absence of transcript in homozygous mutant mice.
Phenotypic informationHomozygous null mice are viable and fertile. They show insulin resistance and altered systemic glucose metabolism.
Breeding historyMice were maintained in a C57BL/6 x 129 mixed background, randomly bred.
