Information from provider

ProviderRolf Sprengel
Provider affiliationMolecular Neurobiology, Max Planck Institute for Medical Research
Genetic informationA transgene for the N-terminal GFP tagged AMPA receptor subunit GluA2 (Gria2), together with a nuclear localised lacZ reporter gene, is under the control of the tTA-dependent bidirectional synthetic promoter. Mouse lines TgTetOGFP-GluA2/1 and TgTetOGFP-GluA2/6 are derived from two different founders from the same pronucleus injection.
Phenotypic informationHomozygous:
Not known

Heterozygous:
When activated by tTA the GFP-GluA2 transgene can partially rescue the GluA2 knock-out (Gria2-/-) mice.
Breeding historyEmbryos from matings of hemizygote transgenes TgTet0GFP-GluA2 males and C57BL/6N females were harvested and 93 embryos were cryoconserved in January 2003
