Who Gets to Edit the Future?

That’s the question ARRIGE’s Annual Conference 2026 will tackle this November, as we explore the governance of heritable genome editing in a multipolar world.

This will be ARRIGE – Association for Responsible Research and Innovation in Genome Editing’s first conference held in the Global South, bringing together regulators, scientists, ethicists, lawyers, industry and international organisations around one of the most pressing questions in science governance today.

Two days, five panels, and a lineup already featuring Prof Melodie Labuschaigne, Dr Jan-Hendrik (Hennie) Groenewald, Ms Christine Strauss, Prof Donrich Thaldar and Prof Hervé Chneiweiss, covering global moratoria, innovation and trust, clinical safety, political economy, and data governance and reproductive privacy. Further speakers to be announced soon.
