ISIDORe II

Project Description

ISIDORe II builds on the success of ISIDORe to strengthen Europe’s capacity for pandemic preparedness and response research. Bringing together leading infectious disease and transversal research infrastructures, the project provides researchers with coordinated access to cutting-edge services, technologies, expertise, and data across Europe.

ISIDORe II supports scientific excellence and innovation, accelerates the development of medical countermeasures, and promotes FAIR and interoperable data practices. Through streamlined transnational and virtual access, researchers benefit from comprehensive support spanning advanced technologies, ethics, biosafety, regulatory guidance, and data stewardship.

By strengthening coordination with European and global preparedness actors and developing a sustainable model for research infrastructure collaboration, ISIDORe II aims to establish a lasting cornerstone of Europe’s preparedness and response ecosystem and contribute to improved global health security.

INFRAFRONTIER’s contribution

INFRAFRONTIER leads Work Package 4, focused on optimising the integration, uptake and impact of ISIDORe II’s transnational access activities. The work package establishes a transparent and harmonised access framework, supports effective matching of users with research infrastructure services, promotes FAIR data management, and ensures ethical, secure and responsible project implementation.

INFRAFRONTIER also leads the development of a project-wide framework for collecting and analysing feedback from users and access providers. By integrating feedback into the ISIDORe II access management system and translating findings into service improvements, INFRAFRONTIER will help create a continuous learning process that strengthens service quality, user experience and the long-term impact of ISIDORe II.
