Administrative Managing Director of INFRAFRONTIER ERIC (f/m/x)
INFRAFRONTIER, the European Research Infrastructure for Modelling Human Diseases, is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing disease understanding and treatment through cutting-edge models. Responsibilities
The Administrative Managing Director will act as the legal representative and managing director of INFRAFRONTIER ERIC together with the Scientific Managing Director. S/he/they will be accountable to the Assembly of Members of the INFRAFRONTIER ERIC for the performance of the following areas:
- Leadership of an international organization,
- Definition and proposal of the future strategy of INFRAFRONTIER ERIC to the Assembly of Members,
- Efficient administrative management of INFRAFRONTIER ERIC,
- Support of the Assembly of Members by setting the agenda of its meetings and preparation of its deliberations and decisions; as well as ensuring the execution of the decisions of the Assembly of Members,
- Leading the interactions with policy stakeholders and funding bodies, coordination of public relations, dissemination activities and outreach to potential users,
- Ensuring the seamless execution of all administrative processes related to INFRAFRONTIER ERIC.
Requirements of the role
- Proven track record in the administrative leadership of a European research organisation,
- Profound knowledge of the administrative processes involved in setting up and operating a European research infrastructure, an additional scientific background in the life-sciences will be considered as advantage,
- In-depth knowledge of the European research area and funding system,
- Well-connected in the European Research Infrastructure Landscape (EC, ESFRI, Life-science RIs, …),
- Knowledgeable about the ethical and legal frameworks for utilising animals in research,
- Broad understanding of the legislative and ethical frameworks and statutory requirements related to the general RI environment in Europe,
- Broad strategic vision and a business perspective in RI management,
- Ability to communicate objectives and activities to different stakeholder groups as well as to balance diverging stakeholder requirements.
Terms and conditions
INFRAFRONTIER ERIC will pay an appropriate allowance to the Administrative Director.
The advertised position is not a full-time post. It is conceived as a part-time position that can be carried out in addition to existing obligations.

The recruitment procedure will be as follows
- The top-ranked candidates will be invited for online interviews in the end of June 2025, after which the final candidate will be chosen.
- The official appointment of the Administrative Managing Director of INFRAFRONTIER ERIC depends on the availability of the candidate. The preferred starting date is August or September 2025
