Information from provider

ProviderHenri-Jean Garchon
Provider affiliationER70 CNRS et Unite 125 Inserm
Genetic informationNOD congenic strain with the distal chromosome 1 from C57BL/6. Line 6 has a smaller interval than L2 and has lost the Fcgr2 locus from C57BL/6.
Phenotypic informationThis line has lost the main QTL controlling serum levels of IgG1 and IgG2b in NOD mice and present in L2 mice. The L6 interval also controls the severity of experimental arthritis, the number and the function of natural killer T cells, IgE serum levels, and an increased resistance to endotoxinic shock.
Breeding history20 generations of backcrosses followed by sister-brother matings. Selection of subcongenics by additional backcrosses.

Availabilities

Requesting frozen sperm or embryos is generally advisable wherever possible, in order to minimise the shipment of live mice.

Due to the dynamic nature of our processes strain availability may change at short notice. The local repository manager will advise you in these circumstances.
