Genetic informationA selection cassette containing stop codons in all three reading frames and containing the lacZ/neo sequence targeted to a unique BamH1 site was introduced immediately following the S100a9 ATG start codon in exon 2.

Black coat colour; loss of MRP-8/14 (S100a8/9) heterodimer expressed in mouse neutrophils as 10-20% soluble protein.
