Research Resource Identifiers (RRID) are persistent unique ID numbers assigned to help researchers cite key resources (e.g. antibodies, model organisms and software projects) in the biomedical literature to improve transparency and reproducibility in research. See https://www.rrids.org/ for more information.

Information from provider

ProviderSeth Grant
Provider affiliationWellcome Trust Sanger Institute
Genetic informationInformation sourced from supplementary data 1 for dhttps://doi.org/10.1101/500389: This mouse strain was created via ES cells to mouse conversion. The ES (XP0050, strain 129/Ola) cells were obtained from Sanger Institute Gene Trap Resource (SIGTR) An insertional mutation in Gnb1(AN0901) was inserted in mouse ES cells using gene trap vector pGT0lxr. The gene trap, located in intron 14-15, creates an in-frame fusion between the 5' exons of the trapped gene and a reporter, Beta-geo in exons 1-14.
Phenotypic informationMutant mice showed no discernible overall behavioural difference from wildtypes, with two of 16 behaviour variables significantly impacted by this mutation. In the fear learning task, one behavioural variable, fear learning tone effect, was significantly decreased in mutants. In the contextual memory task, one behavioural variable, contextual memory change, was significantly decreased in mutants. Elevated plus maze, open field/novel object exploration, rotarod and cued memory tasks were unaffected
Breeding historyMice were maintained by backcrossing onto the 129S5/SvEvBrd background; heterozygous males and females were fertile and used to set up intercrosses to generate homozygous and wildtype mice to study.
