Research Resource Identifiers (RRID) are persistent unique ID numbers assigned to help researchers cite key resources (e.g. antibodies, model organisms and software projects) in the biomedical literature to improve transparency and reproducibility in research. See https://www.rrids.org/ for more information.

Information from provider

Provider MRC, Medical Research Council
Provider affiliationMary Lyon Centre at MRC Harwell
Genetic informationThis IGFN1(D1-D3) transgenic strain was designed to over-express a fragment of a large protein of unknown function (IGFN1), which exists in many different variants. IGFN1 was identified as an interacting partner to the KY protein, which is associated with a muscular dystrophy. The transgene contains only the first three domains of this protein fused to the fluorescent reporter GFP. It is expressed only in skeletal muscle. The purpose of this line was to test the effect of the overexpression and, on the other hand, cross it to the neuromuscular mutant ky and study possible genetic interactions.

Order

Availabilities

Requesting frozen sperm or embryos is generally advisable wherever possible, in order to minimise the shipment of live mice.

Due to the dynamic nature of our processes strain availability may change at short notice. The local repository manager will advise you in these circumstances.

* In addition users have to cover all the shipping costs (including the cost for returning dry-shippers, where applicable).
