Genetic informationArginine 264 (CGA) in exon 5 was changed to alanine (GCA) and a loxP site flanked neomycin resistance gene cassette was inserted into intron 5. The neo cassette was removed through subsequent cre-mediated recombination. The mutation abrogates the rapid dilation of mesenteric arteries and the acceleration of endothelial repair of carotid actions of the encoded peptide without affecting other functions.
Phenotypic informationHomozygous:
N/A

Heterozygous:
N/A
Breeding history96.87% C57BL/6N; the line was backcrossed 2 times with C57BL/6NTac mice (C57BL/6J 3.12%, C57BL/6N 25%, C57BL/6NTac 71.8%).

Availabilities

Requesting frozen sperm or embryos is generally advisable wherever possible, in order to minimise the shipment of live mice.

  • Frozen embryos. Delivered in 4 weeks (after paperwork in place). €1740*
  • Rederivation of mice from frozen stock, delivery time available upon request . €3880*

Due to the dynamic nature of our processes strain availability may change at short notice. The local repository manager will advise you in these circumstances.

* In addition users have to cover all the shipping costs (including the cost for returning dry-shippers, where applicable).
