Research Resource Identifiers (RRID) are persistent unique ID numbers assigned to help researchers cite key resources (e.g. antibodies, model organisms and software projects) in the biomedical literature to improve transparency and reproducibility in research. See https://www.rrids.org/ for more information.

Information from provider

ProviderBruce Cattanach
Provider affiliationMRC Harwell, Didcot, Oxon, OX11 0RD
Genetic informationNo information. Original mutant was offspring of male that received 2 doses of 150 mg/kg ENU, mated to tester stock (PT) female.
Phenotypic informationCurly whiskers/absent at birth. Sporadic lack of fur growth which varies from almost zero to sparse fur. Some growth retardation from birth and mutant offspring are smaller at weaning. Heterozygotes and homozygotes not easily distinguishable - limited breeding data suggest that homozygotes are smaller. Homozygotes viable and fertile. On outcrossing, Shby/Shby2H, Shby/+ and Shby2H/+ offspring could not be distinguished. Allelism tests with Shby gave 0/49 recombinants showing that Shby2H is allelic with Shby. Linkage cross with T gave 6/57 recombinants (10.5 cM), i.e. very similar to T-Shby (10.8 cM).
