Information from provider

ProviderVíctor L. Ruiz
Provider affiliationMolecular Genetic and Rare Diseases, Instituto de Investigaciones Biomédicas Sols-Morreale(CSIC-UAM)
Genetic informationThis mutation is a 2-bp deletion in exon 4 of the Kdelr2 gene, causing a frameshift and a premature termination codon. NM_025841.4:c.400_401delCA; p.(Gln134AlafsTer11).
Phenotypic informationHomozygous:
Kdelr2em2/Cnbc homozygous mutant mice show neonatal lethality and at E18.5 were found to have bones of reduced length and delayed ossification.

Heterozygous:
Heterozygous mice show no phenotypic alterations.
Breeding historyMice were initially generated by microinjecting CRISPR/Cas9 reagents into fertilized B6CBAF2 eggs. Subsequently, the strain was maintained by crossing heterozygous males to C57BL/6J wild-type females for more than 5 generations.
