Information from provider

ProviderBruce Cattanach
Provider affiliationMRC Harwell, Didcot, Oxon, OX11 0RD
Genetic informationGenerated during a combined chemical (triethylenemelamine (TEM) + 3-aminobenzamide) and X-ray specific locus mutation experiment.
Phenotypic informationHeterozygotes are small at birth and small at weaning with cranial doming, variably wide between eyes and shortened nasal passage. Very limited weight data, but heterozygotes estimated to be 15% smaller than wild-type sibs at weaning. Not deaf. Cytogenetics: no obvious gross chromosome abnormality detected. Opening data consistent with homozygote being pre-implantation lethal.
Breeding historyOriginal background: (C3H/HeH x 101/H) x PT. Maintained background: C3H/HeH x 101/H. Breeding History: Backcrossed to C3H/HeH x 101/H.
