Information from provider

ProviderEija Pirinen
Provider affiliationUniversity of Kuopio
Genetic informationTo generate the transgenic mouse lines, we used constructs containing 254 bp of the human HKII promoter driving 42% of the maximal basal expression of the firefly (P. pyralis) luciferase reporter cDNA in vitro, as described previously by Malkki et al. (1997). For microinjection, DNA fragments encompassing 254 bp of the HKII promoter, 106 bp of HKII exon I noncoding sequence, the luciferase coding sequence (1.8 kb), and small T intron and polyadenylation sequences of SV40 (1.4 kb) were released by digestion with PstI.
Phenotypic informationNone

Availabilities

Requesting frozen sperm or embryos is generally advisable wherever possible, in order to minimise the shipment of live mice.

  • Frozen embryos. Delivered in 4 weeks (after paperwork in place). €1740*
  • Rederivation of mice from frozen stock, delivery time available upon request . €3880*

Due to the dynamic nature of our processes strain availability may change at short notice. The local repository manager will advise you in these circumstances.

* In addition users have to cover all the shipping costs (including the cost for returning dry-shippers, where applicable).
