Research Resource Identifiers (RRID) are persistent unique ID numbers assigned to help researchers cite key resources (e.g. antibodies, model organisms and software projects) in the biomedical literature to improve transparency and reproducibility in research. See https://www.rrids.org/ for more information.

Information from provider

ProviderYann HERAULT
Provider affiliationTAAM-CDTA UPS44, CNRS-TAAM – Typing and Archiving of Animal Models
Genetic informationDNA lesions after ENU treatment corresponding to: A-T (85%), G-C (14%) and small deletions (1%).
Phenotypic informationHomozygous males are infertile with small testes and spermatogenesis failure. Heterozygous male are fertile.
Breeding historyHomozygous ST1 mutants were obtained initially by mating an F0 ENU treated male to wild-type females from the same genetic background (C3HeB/FeJ), leading to at most 10 F1 males. Then each F1 male was used as a founder animal for a pedigree. F1 males were mated to wild-type females to get a maximum number of six G2 females. G2 females were subsequently and sequentially backcrossed with the F1 founder to generate 24 G3 individuals that are homozygous for a number of mutations in a Mendelian ratio of 1 out of 8.
