Research Resource Identifiers (RRID) are persistent unique ID numbers assigned to help researchers cite key resources (e.g. antibodies, model organisms and software projects) in the biomedical literature to improve transparency and reproducibility in research. See https://www.rrids.org/ for more information.

Information from provider

ProviderNicholas Parkinson
Provider affiliationUniversity of Oxford
Genetic informationThis line overexpresses a cDNA splice isoform of human SMN that is missing exon 5, SMNDelta5. The promoter is a 750bp fragment of the human SMN1 promoter. The transgene is stably integrated as a single copy into Intron 13 of the Smg6 locus on Chromosome 11. This transgene is maintained as a heterozygote on an FVB/N background and expresses in all tissues tested. Heterozygotes have no deleterious phenotype on a wildtype background but homozygotes are embryonic lethal.
