Genetic informationResistant to seizures induced by methyl beta-carboline-3-carboxylate (beta-CCM), an inverse agonist of the benzodiazepine site, plus coat color black. Mendelian selection on sensitivity to 4 mg/kg i. p. of convulsant beta-CCM from a pool of four beta-CCM-sensitive strains (BALB/cBy, CBA/H, C3H/HeJ, DBA/2J) and four relatively resistant strains (C57BL/6J, C57BL/10J, XLII, NZB/B1NJ). Partially inbred and selected also for "black" coat color (for identification).
Phenotypic informationResistant to seizures induced by methyl beta-carboline-3-carboxylate (beta-CCM), an inverse agonist of the benzodiazepine site.
Breeding historyPartially inbred and selected also for "black" coat color (for identification).

Order

Availabilities

Requesting frozen sperm or embryos is generally advisable wherever possible, in order to minimise the shipment of live mice.

Due to the dynamic nature of our processes strain availability may change at short notice. The local repository manager will advise you in these circumstances.

* In addition users have to cover all the shipping costs (including the cost for returning dry-shippers, where applicable).
