Genetic information	A ~12 kb transgene, comprised of chimeric DNA sequence encoding a sheep PrP (AHQ) allele region and mouse PrP gene promoter and 3'UTR, was used to microinject pronuclear stage FVB/NIco fertilised oocytes.
Phenotypic information	Overexpression of transgenic ovine PrPC in brain and other tissues in order to confer increased susceptibility to TSE diseases compared to wild-type mice. The Tg(OvPrP)EM52 line is hemizygous for the transgene.
