Research Resource Identifiers (RRID) are persistent unique ID numbers assigned to help researchers cite key resources (e.g. antibodies, model organisms and software projects) in the biomedical literature to improve transparency and reproducibility in research. See https://www.rrids.org/ for more information.

Gene/Transgene symbolTg(B2m-lacZ)2Cba

Information from provider

ProviderCharles BABINET
Provider affiliationInstitut Pasteur
Genetic informationTransgenic mice expressing the E. coli lacZ gene under the control of the beta2 microglobulin promoter. This expression can be easily monitored with a beta-galactosidase coloration.
Phenotypic informationB2m-lacZ mice are viable, suggesting that these transgenes are sensitive to position effect; lacZ expression is controlled by endogenous chromosomal regulatory elements specific for each insertion site.
Breeding history(C57BL/6 X SJL/J) origin; 10 generations of backcross to C57BL/6 and then intercross. Breeding at heterozygous state.
