Research Resource Identifiers (RRID) are persistent unique ID numbers assigned to help researchers cite key resources (e.g. antibodies, model organisms and software projects) in the biomedical literature to improve transparency and reproducibility in research. See https://www.rrids.org/ for more information.

Gene/Transgene symbolCd247

Information from provider

ProviderM Malissen
Provider affiliationU136, CIML
Phenotypic informationMutant mice deficient in CD3 antigen zeta/eta (Cd247) gene, obtained by mutation of the gene by homologous recombination (insertion of the neomycin-resistance gene into the second exon) in ES cells from a C57BL/6 line. The homozygous mutant animals have a profound reduction in the surface levels of T cell receptor (TCR) complexes into thymocyte populations. The products of the CD3-zeta/eta gene appear to be needed for the survival of CD4+CD8+ thymocytes.
Breeding historyBruce 4 ES cells. Chimaeras crossed with C57BL/6L; one cross with B10.BR then H2b selection and intercross.
