Information from provider

ProviderMariano Barbacid
Provider affiliationMolecular Oncology, Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Oncologicas
Genetic informationA neomycin resistance gene flanked by loxP sites was originally inserted into intron 3 while a third loxP site was inserted into intron 1. Resulting mice were then crossed with mice carrying a CMV-cre transgene which resulted in the excision of the neomycin resistance gene and exons 2 and 3 of Cdk2 leading to a predicted reading frame shift.
Phenotypic informationHomozygous males and females are sterile due to the complete lack of germ cells. No other obvious phenotype is detected in homozygosis. Heterozygous animals are indistinguishable from WT.
Breeding historyChimeras were crossed with CD1 females for germ line transmission analysis. Heterozygous offspring were crossed with Tg(CMV-cre)1Nagy for deleting the neomycin cassette and exons 2 and 3 of the Cdk2 gene. Line was maintained by inter-crossing heterozygous animals or by crossing heterozygous for Cdk2 with CD1 mice.

Order

Availabilities

Requesting frozen sperm or embryos is generally advisable wherever possible, in order to minimise the shipment of live mice.

  • Frozen sperm. Delivered in 4 weeks (after paperwork in place). €1740*
  • Rederivation of mice from frozen stock, delivery time available upon request . €3880*

Due to the dynamic nature of our processes strain availability may change at short notice. The local repository manager will advise you in these circumstances.

* In addition users have to cover all the shipping costs (including the cost for returning dry-shippers, where applicable).
