| Genetic information | DeltaEGFR cDNA was cloned under the control of the albumin mouse locus harbored in BAC clone RP23-27P6 (chrom. 5) by recombineering techniques (up to 160 kbp of this construct were injected). Three transgenic mouse lines were produced; this description corresponds to line 5026, with 10-20 copies. These mice are, currently, in the fifth generation of backcrossing to C57BL/6J. |
| Phenotypic information | Very low or absent activation of Egfr upon Egf stimulus in isolated adult hepatocytes analyzed by Western blot. Attenuation of Egfr phosphorylation in liver after partial hepatectomy detected by immunohistochemistry. |
| Breeding history | Founders were produced in B6CBAF2 background. At the moment, animals are in the fifth generation of backcross to C57BL/6J background. |
