Research Resource Identifiers (RRID) are persistent unique ID numbers assigned to help researchers cite key resources (e.g. antibodies, model organisms and software projects) in the biomedical literature to improve transparency and reproducibility in research. See https://www.rrids.org/ for more information.

Information from provider

ProviderSagrario Ortega
Provider affiliationBiotechnology, Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Oncologicas
Genetic informationA 4.7 Kb DNA fragment of a plasmid containing the CAG promoter followed by a transcription/translation STOP sequence flanked by directly repeated loxP sites, the Katushka reporter cDNA from pTurboFP635-C (Evrogen) and the rabbit O-globin polyadenylation signal, was injected into B6xCBA oocytes. This is a cre recombinase reporter line. After cre-mediated excision of the floxed STOP sequences, the Katushka far-red fluorescent protein (KFP) reporter is expressed under the control of the CAG ubiquitous promoter. This strain derives from founder #3.
Phenotypic informationMice do not have any significant phenotype.
Breeding historyThe cre-reporter founder animals were crossed with B6(Cg)-Tyrc-2J/J animals for testing germ-line transmission. The line is maintained by crossing heterozygous animals with B6(Cg)-Tyrc-2J/J mice.
