Research Resource Identifiers (RRID) are persistent unique ID numbers assigned to help researchers cite key resources (e.g. antibodies, model organisms and software projects) in the biomedical literature to improve transparency and reproducibility in research. See https://www.rrids.org/ for more information.

Information from provider

ProviderAndreas Gewies
Provider affiliationInstitute of Clinical Chemistry and Pathobiology, Technical University of Munich - Medical School
Genetic informationExon 3 of the Prdm6 gene according to ENSEMBL entry ENSMUSG00000069378 was flanked by loxP sites via homologous recombination in E14TG2a.4 murine embryonic stem cells. The neomycin selection cassette was removed using flp deleter mice to obtain the floxed Prdm6 allele.
Phenotypic informationHomozygous:
Homozygous Prdm6 floxed/floxed mice are viable, healthy and fertile and can be crossed to cell-type specific Cre deleter strains. Homozygous germline deletion of exon 3 (Prdm6 -/-) results in lethality around 11 dpc during embryonic development.

Heterozygous:
Heterozygous Prdm6 +/- knockout mice are viable, healthy and fertile.
