| Genetic information | Transgenic mouse line with the potential to ubiquitously express a mutated variant of the transcription factor PAX4 (PAX4 R129W), together with the DsRed fluorescent protein reporter, under the control of TRE-pCMV inducible promoter. This mouse line should be crossed with any suitable rtTA or tTA line for tissue-specific expression, according to expression pattern of the rtTA or the tTA additional transgene. The human PAX4 R121W mutant variant has been associated as single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) to diabetes by genome-wide association studies (GWAs). |
| Phenotypic information | Homozygous:No apparent differences in comparison with non-transgenic mouse. Good general health. Without anatomic malformations or physiological troubles. No troubles of behavior.Heterozygous:No apparent differences in comparison with non-transgenic mouse. Good general health. Without anatomic malformations or physiological troubles. No troubles of behavior. |
