Genetic informationA cDNA containing a codon improved version of the cre recombinase followed by a polyA signal sequence was fused in frame into a BAC clone (RPCI-23-239-A7) at exon 1 of mouse Clec4g so that cre expression is driven by the regulatory sequences of the BAC gene. The resulting modified BAC was used to generate this transgenic mouse strain. Three founder lines 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 were identified. Founder 1.1 was used in experiments. The genomic insertion is unknown.
Phenotypic informationHomozygous:
Not applicable, the mouse strain is kept only hemizygous.

Heterozygous:
The transgenic mouse strain Tg(Clec4g-icre)1.1Sgoe is a cre driver mouse; cre recombinase is expressed in sinusoidal endothelial cells.
Breeding historyTransgenic founder mouse was then crossed to the C57BL/6NCrl genetic background (> than 10 backcrosses).
