Information from provider

ProviderKlaus Rajeswky
Provider affiliationHarvard Medical School
Genetic informationOriginal targeted mutation for the specific expression of cre recombinase in B-lymphocytes throughout development and differentiation. In-frame insertion of a cre recombinase gene into the first coding exon of the Cd19 gene, followed by an frt-flanked neomycin cassette. The endogenous Cd19 promoter drives the cre recombinase expression.
Phenotypic informationOriginal strain for cre recombinase expression throughout B-lymphocyte development and differentiation. Heterozygous mice are normal and can be crossed to mice carrying floxed gene targets, for specific in vivo deletion in B-lymphocytes.
Breeding historyBackcrossed to C57BL/6 (10 generations)

Requesting frozen sperm or embryos is generally advisable wherever possible, in order to minimise the shipment of live mice.

  • Frozen embryos. Delivered in 4 weeks (after paperwork in place). €1740*
  • Rederivation of mice from frozen stock, delivery time available upon request . €3880*

Due to the dynamic nature of our processes strain availability may change at short notice. The local repository manager will advise you in these circumstances.

* In addition users have to cover all the shipping costs (including the cost for returning dry-shippers, where applicable).
