Information from provider

ProviderMariano Barbacid
Provider affiliationMolecular Oncology, Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Oncologicas
Genetic informationA neomycin resistance gene flanked by loxP sites was originally inserted into intron 3 while a third loxP site was inserted into intron 1. The neomycin resistance gene was then excised by Cre mediated recombination so that exons 2 and 3 are flanked by loxP sites.
Phenotypic informationBefore Cre mediated recombination there is no phenotype associated to this allele.
Breeding historyChimeras were crossed with CD1 females for germ line transmission analysis. Heterozygous offspring was crossed with Tg.EIIaCre (FVB/N-TgN(EIIa-Cre)C5379Lmgd) for neomycin resistance gene excision. Offspring was intercrossed to obtain homozygous animals for the Cdk2_lox allele and maintained in homozygosis.

Order

Availabilities

Requesting frozen sperm or embryos is generally advisable wherever possible, in order to minimise the shipment of live mice.

  • Frozen sperm. Delivered in 4 weeks (after paperwork in place). €1740*
  • Rederivation of mice from frozen stock, delivery time available upon request . €3880*

Due to the dynamic nature of our processes strain availability may change at short notice. The local repository manager will advise you in these circumstances.

* In addition users have to cover all the shipping costs (including the cost for returning dry-shippers, where applicable).
