The European Medicines Research Training Network EMTRAIN establishes a sustainable, pan-European platform for education and training (E&T) covering the whole life-cycle of medicines research, from basic science through clinical development to pharmacovigilance.
This is achieved by integrating the strengths and competencies of the ESFRI- Biological and Medical Sciences Infrastructures, the EFPIA companies, the current and future IMI E&T programmes as well as other scientific projects.
INFRAFRONTIER partners Helmholtz Zentrum München and Institute Clinique de la Souris significantly contribute to the EMTRAIN Master and PhD programmes - WP5 and WP6, respectively. Both work packages intent to strengthen the link between the academia and the biomedical industry, by means of analysing and intensifying the public-private partnerships PhD programmes, stimulating academia-industry mobility and providing training both in drug development and business awareness.
Both workpackges are co-led by the Institute Clinique de la Souris.
EMTRAIN has received support from the Innovative Medicines Initiative Joint Undertaking under grant agreement n° 115015.
