INFRAFRONTIER at FELASA 2025: Advancing 3Rs and Animal Welfare

FELASA 2025 took place in Athens from June 2 to 5, organised by the Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Associations (FELASA). The congress brought together over 2,000 participants from the laboratory animal science community, and we were proud to attend and contribute with a session fully organised by INFRAFRONTIER ( more information).

On Tuesday, 3 June, we presented “Collaborative European Effort on the 3Rs and Animal Welfare in Disease Modelling” in the Skalakas room, drawing an audience of over 100 attendees.

Speakers Asrar Ali Khan (INFRAFRONTIER ERIC), Auke Boersma (Vetmeduni), Tania Sorg (ICS), and Maik Dahlhof (Vetmeduni) delivered outstanding presentations, brilliantly supported by the skilled moderation and chairing of Sabine Hölter (Helmholtz Munich) and Vasilis Ntafis (BSRC Alexander Fleming).

We extend our sincere thanks to all of them, as well as to the INFRAFRONTIER AWEX group – our experts in Animal Welfare – with whom we decided to submit the session proposal – later accepted – and collaborated closely to shape its content and format.
