INFRAFRONTIER at the EARA Conference 2025
We were delighted to participate in the European Animal Research Association (EARA) Conference 2025, held under the theme “Shaping the future of animal research communication.” The event brought together researchers, communicators, institutions and patient advocates to explore how openness and clear dialogue can strengthen public understanding and trust in animal research.
The conference featured insightful sessions, including a deep dive into transparency and openness in animal research, highlighting the development and impact of the UK Concordat on Openness, as well as institutional perspectives on the challenges and opportunities of communicating transparently. It also offered valuable reflections on strengthening openness through the combined lenses of journalism, social sciences and patient experience, and explored strategies for addressing polarising topics such as vaccine hesitancy, misinformation and climate change.
Dr. Michael Raess represented INFRAFRONTIER, presenting the poster Advancing the 3Rs in biomedical research through INFRAFRONTIER (P16). We were proud to contribute to discussions that are actively shaping the future of transparent, responsible and effective communication in animal research.
