Thank You, Martin – Welcome, Johannes: INFRAFRONTIER Opens a New Chapter

As of 4 June 2025, Prof Dr Johannes Beckers officially takes on his new role as Scientific Managing Director of INFRAFRONTIER ERIC, following his appointment by the Assembly of Members. He succeeds Prof Dr Martin Hrabě de Angelis, who has led the infrastructure with dedication and vision for over 20 years.

It’s hard to put into words how thankful we are to Martin for his incredible dedication, hard work, and the care he has put into building INFRAFRONTIER over more than 2 decades. Big thank you! We’re very grateful and happy to know he’s not going far. Martin will stay on his role as Director of the German National Node and has been designated as the scientific representative in the INFRAFRONTIER ERIC Assembly of Members. We’re sure there’s still a lot we’ll do together, no doubt about that.

We’re also very excited to welcome Johannes as he steps into his new role. We’re looking forward to begin working together on the many ambitious projects ahead. With initiatives like INFRAPLUS and PRIM-TECH3R already underway, and many more in motion to grow and elevate INFRAFRONTIER, we are confident that this new chapter will be inspiring!
