Genetic informationHuman TCL1A oncogene is overexpressed under the promoter of cytokeratin 14, which is mainly expressed in the basal keratinocytes of skin, in the hair follicle and epithelial cells.
Phenotypic informationHomozygous:
Restoration of TCL1 expression in the skin and hair follicle of Tcl1 null mice is able to rescue the stem cells compartment and the alopecia and ulcers phenotypes. No tumor development was detected.
