Genetic informationG->T point mutation on chromosome 8 (position Chr8:108459981). The point mutation is located in exon 7 of Psmb10 and leads to an amino acid exchange from glycine to tryptophan at position 170 of the mature MECL-1 protein. From the different backgrounds mentioned in this ref. "https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29654304/" the one available from EMMA is C3HeB/FeJ.
Phenotypic informationHomozygous:
Homozygous TUB6 mice exhibit a lethal immunological phenotype comprising SCID and systemic inflammation.

Heterozygous:
In heterozygous TUB6 mice, a selective T cell defect was observed, with a substantially reduced T cell compartment at baseline conditions and failure of developing a protective antigen-specific T cell response to L.m. infection.
Breeding historyUnknown number of backcrosses
