Genetic information | Tetracycline-controlled transgenic overexpression for the SHANK2A(R462X) truncated mutation, that was found in human autism spectrum disorder (ASD) patients. The transgene contains a bidirectional tTA-dependent expression cassette which encodes on one site the nuclear localized beta-galactosidase and on the other side the VENUS-tTA-SHANK2A(R462X) fusion. The sequence origin for SHANK2A(R462X) is human. |
Phenotypic information | Homozygous:UnknownHeterozygous:No phenotype in absence of the doxycycline doxycycline sensitive transcriptional activator tTA. |
Breeding history | The line was generated in November 2013. Subsequently the line was intercrossed routinely with TgCam2a-tTA mice (B6;CBA-Tg(Camk2a-tTA)1Mmay/J - JAXMice Stock No: 003010). Double transgenic TgSHANK2A(R462X)/Cam2a-tTA mice were never used for matings. Hemizygous TgSHANK2A(R462X) mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6N mice to keep the line. |
