Alternative name | Nrif1-mut. |
Strain type | Targeted Mutant Strains : Knock-out |
Allele/Transgene symbol | Zfp110tm1Mpin, |
Gene/Transgene symbol | Zfp110 |
Information from provider
Provider | Elisabeth Casademunt |
Provider affiliation | Max Planck Inst. of Neurobiology |
Genetic information | pGK-neo cassette replacing part of the last exon of the Zfp110 (Nrif1) gene. Replacement eliminates the putative p75 receptor-binding region of the ZFP110 (NRIF1) protein. |
Phenotypic information | In a mixed B6129 background there are no major anatomical defects. However, the following traits have been observed: decrease in apoptotic levels in embryonic retina; abnormal whisker pad innervation; altered NFkB activation in Schwann cells; remarkable decrease in testis size (up to 70% in adults); slightly altered heat sensitivity. The mutation is embryonically lethal in a congenic B6 strain: homozygous mutant embryos do not survive beyond E12.5 |
