Information from provider

ProviderElisabeth Casademunt
Provider affiliationMax Planck Inst. of Neurobiology
Genetic informationpGK-neo cassette replacing part of the last exon of the Zfp110 (Nrif1) gene. Replacement eliminates the putative p75 receptor-binding region of the ZFP110 (NRIF1) protein.
Phenotypic informationIn a mixed B6129 background there are no major anatomical defects. However, the following traits have been observed: decrease in apoptotic levels in embryonic retina; abnormal whisker pad innervation; altered NFkB activation in Schwann cells; remarkable decrease in testis size (up to 70% in adults); slightly altered heat sensitivity. The mutation is embryonically lethal in a congenic B6 strain: homozygous mutant embryos do not survive beyond E12.5

Availabilities

Requesting frozen sperm or embryos is generally advisable wherever possible, in order to minimise the shipment of live mice.

  • Frozen embryos. Delivered in 4 weeks (after paperwork in place). €1740*
  • Rederivation of mice from frozen stock, delivery time available upon request . €3880*

Due to the dynamic nature of our processes strain availability may change at short notice. The local repository manager will advise you in these circumstances.

* In addition users have to cover all the shipping costs (including the cost for returning dry-shippers, where applicable).
