Information from provider

ProviderManfred Kilimann
Provider affiliationMolecular Neurobiology, MPI for Multidisciplinarc Sciences
Genetic informationExons 4-6 of the mouse Palmd gene are flanked en-bloc by loxP sites in introns 3 and 6, generated by homologous recombination. This provides the option for deleting this DNA interval by cre recombinase, resulting in a frame-shift. Germ-line cre deletion of this allele has been carried out, generating the constitutive Palmdtm1.2Kili knock-out line (EMMA strain EM:14923), which is a proven null mutant with undetectable Palmd protein expression (detection limit of Western blot analysis:
Phenotypic informationHomozygous:
No phenotype.

Heterozygous:
No phenotype.
Breeding historyMice were generated in a C57BL/6N ES cell line and subsequently backcrossed to C57BL/6N mice for more than 5 generations.
