Research Resource Identifiers (RRID) are persistent unique ID numbers assigned to help researchers cite key resources (e.g. antibodies, model organisms and software projects) in the biomedical literature to improve transparency and reproducibility in research. See https://www.rrids.org/ for more information.

Information from provider

Provider affiliationCellular Immunology D110, German Cancer Research Center
Genetic informationThe tamoxifen-inducible Mer-iCre-Mer was introduced into the first exon of the Tie2 gene by homologous recombination in ES cells. The targeting cassette inserted into exon 1, upstream of the translation start site, comprises a rabbit HBB2 splice donor, intron, and splice acceptor; an inducible improved cre recombinase fused to two modified Esr1 binding domains (icre/Esr1*); and an FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette; flp-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette (Busch K. et al., Nature, 2015, PubMed ID:25686605).
Phenotypic informationHomozygous:
Homozygous mice are embryonic lethal between E9.5 and E12.5.

Heterozygous:
Heterozygous mice are viable and fertile and show no apparent abnormalities. Heterozygous mice are not immunodeficient and have normal numbers of immune and blood cells.
Breeding historyMice were backcrossed to C57BL/6J for more than 25 generations.

Availabilities

Requesting frozen sperm or embryos is generally advisable wherever possible, in order to minimise the shipment of live mice.

  • Frozen sperm. Delivered in 4 weeks (after paperwork in place). €1740*

Due to the dynamic nature of our processes strain availability may change at short notice. The local repository manager will advise you in these circumstances.

* In addition users have to cover all the shipping costs (including the cost for returning dry-shippers, where applicable).
