| Genetic information | The tamoxifen-inducible Mer-iCre-Mer was introduced into the first exon of the Tie2 gene by homologous recombination in ES cells. The targeting cassette inserted into exon 1, upstream of the translation start site, comprises a rabbit HBB2 splice donor, intron, and splice acceptor; an inducible improved cre recombinase fused to two modified Esr1 binding domains (icre/Esr1*); and an FRT-flanked neomycin resistance cassette; flp-mediated recombination removed the selection cassette (Busch K. et al., Nature, 2015, PubMed ID:25686605). |
