Information from provider

ProviderRenee van Amerongen
Provider affiliationNetherlands Cancer Institute
Genetic informationThe majority of the Frat3 (Peg12) coding sequence was replaced by a promoterless lacZ marker followed by a PGK-hygromycin resistance cassette. The resulting lacZ knockin allele has been imprinted, probably as a result of Frat3 being located in the Prader Willi imprinting region.
Phenotypic informationHomozygous knockout mice are viable, healthy and fertile without obvious abnormalities.
Breeding history129P2/OlaHsd mice were backcrossed onto FVB or C57BL/6 mice. Current generation is F12 backcross.
