Information from provider
Provider | Renee van Amerongen |
Provider affiliation | Netherlands Cancer Institute |
Genetic information | The majority of the Frat3 (Peg12) coding sequence was replaced by a promoterless lacZ marker followed by a PGK-hygromycin resistance cassette. The resulting lacZ knockin allele has been imprinted, probably as a result of Frat3 being located in the Prader Willi imprinting region. |
Phenotypic information | Homozygous knockout mice are viable, healthy and fertile without obvious abnormalities. |
Breeding history | 129P2/OlaHsd mice were backcrossed onto FVB or C57BL/6 mice. Current generation is F12 backcross. |
